The MC Sapiens is a sculptural coffee table designed by Felipe Chiarello, where a clear glass top floats above a flowing, wing-like base in natural oak veneer. Made to order in Brazil, the wood veneer finish can be customized to suit your interior — ask Fazani about available species and finishes.

Design

Designed by Felipe Chiarello, the MC Sapiens is built around movement and tension. The base is formed from a carbon steel structure wrapped in wood veneer, shaped into two sweeping, outward-curving wings that taper to fine points at either end. The curves rise at the centre to cradle a clear, colourless glass top — creating the impression that the tabletop hovers above the form below it.

The MC Sapiens suits contemporary living rooms, open-plan spaces, and interiors where furniture is expected to contribute to the room’s overall composition.

Customization

Every MC Sapiens is made to order. The wood veneer finish on the base can be customized across a wide range of species and finishes. Custom sizes are available upon consultation. Contact Fazani for veneer samples and project quotes.

  • To preserve the finish and beauty of your Fazani piece, we recommend cleaning with a soft, dry cloth or slightly damp cloth as needed. Avoid abrasive materials and harsh chemicals. For best results, keep your furniture out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources or extreme humidity changes.
