Caring for your
Fazani pieces
Each Fazani piece arrives precision-crafted and adjusted by our artisans in Brazil. To preserve its beauty and structure for generations, please follow the guidelines on this page.
General care guidelines
The beauty of natural materials
Each piece presents unique variations in grain, tone, and texture — part of its inherent character. Minor hairline cracks or surface variations are natural and may shift with temperature and humidity. Any colour differences in new pieces will even out with consistent environmental exposure.
Genuine leather carries a distinct natural scent and individual markings — folds, scars, stretch marks — that reflect its authenticity. No two hides are alike. These are hallmarks of quality, not defects, and a testament to the handcrafted nature of your piece.
Material-specific care

Routine care
- Avoid prolonged contact with oily substances — creams, lotions, or food products.
- Acrylic fabrics: vacuum weekly with a soft brush attachment to prevent dirt embedding in fibres.
- 100% cotton: clean gently with a soft damp sponge and mild soap.
- Printed fabrics: minimise friction to preserve pigment and prevent fading.
- Use water at room temperature with mild soap only.
- Do not expose to direct sunlight to avoid possible colour changes.
- When washing, avoid drying in the sun.
What to avoid
- No abrasive cleaners or hard-bristle brushes.
- No chemical agents — especially chlorine-based products.
- Never use steam irons or expose to heat above 110°C.
- Avoid mechanical washing; always observe drying temperature.

Routine care
- Dust regularly with a dry, soft cloth to preserve the natural finish.
- Liquid spills (water, soda, milk): blot immediately, wipe gently with a damp cloth, and air dry.
- Greasy spills (oils, creams, chocolate): absorb with a cloth, then clean with a damp cloth and neutral soap. Let dry naturally.
What to avoid
- No harsh solvents or chemical cleaning agents.
- No alcohol, acetone, or aggressive substances.
- Never use direct heat to dry leather.

Routine care
- Dust with a soft, dry cloth. If needed, use a damp cloth followed by a dry cloth.
- For stains: use a cloth dampened with water and soap, then dry immediately.
- Use only wood-specific cleaning products, preferably silicone-based, for greater moisture and dirt resistance.
- Protect worktops from hot, damp, coloured, dye-releasing, sharp, or cutting objects.
What to avoid
- Never expose wooden products to direct sunlight — this may alter tone permanently.
- No thinner, turpentine, removers, or abrasive products.
- No wax or polish unless specifically recommended by Fazani.
- Avoid direct contact between furniture and water.
- Never sand the surface.
To protect natural wood and veneer furniture, we recommend maintaining indoor humidity between 40% and 55% and avoiding sudden changes in temperature or humidity.
Extreme dryness or moisture may cause natural wood movement, including expansion, contraction, or small cracks. Keep furniture away from direct heat sources, AC vents, humidifiers, and prolonged direct sunlight.

Routine care — matte & standard lacquer
- Dust with a soft, dry cloth. If needed, use a damp cloth then a dry cloth.
- For stains: use a cloth dampened with water and neutral soap, then dry immediately.
- Dust with a soft, dry cloth or damp cloth followed by a dry cloth.
- For stains: use a cloth dampened with water and neutral soap, then dry immediately.
- Surface scratches: use automotive polishing compound no. 03 applied with a polishing cotton pad. To restore full gloss, use 3M Perfect-IT Auto-Shine.
What to avoid — all lacquered finishes
- Never expose to direct sunlight — this causes irreversible colour changes.
- Protect worktops from hot, damp, coloured, paint-releasing, sharp, or cutting objects.
- No paint thinner, turpentine, removers, or abrasive products.
- Avoid contact with water.

Routine care
- Regularly dust with a soft, dry cloth.
- Fingerprints: remove with a soft cloth or paper towel dampened with isopropyl alcohol (available at pharmacies).
- Difficult stains (food, salt): dilute a non-ammonia cleaning product in lukewarm water (2 parts product : 1 part water). Dampen a soft cloth and wipe along the grain — do not make circular movements. Remove excess and dry immediately.
- Drying must be quick and uniform to avoid surface marks.
What to avoid
- No products containing acetone, ether, or alcohol — these permanently stain aluminium.
- No abrasive products or steel sponges.
- No chlorine or salt-based products.
- No soaps — these may scratch the surface.
- Brushed stainless steel is unsuitable for marine atmospheres.
- Blows and scratches can breach the passive coating and cause corrosion.

Routine care
- Clean with a soft cloth lightly dampened with warm water or neutral soap. Dry immediately to avoid water spots.
- For stains: use isopropyl alcohol or a specialist glass cleaner, avoiding contact with surrounding surfaces.
- Do not expose painted glass products to direct sunlight to avoid colour changes.
- Protect painted glass from hot, coloured, paint-releasing, sharp, or pointed objects.
What to avoid
- No abrasive products — these permanently scratch the surface.
- No paint thinner, turpentine, removers, or aggressive chemicals.
- Avoid excessive pressure when wiping.

Routine care
- We recommend using CIF cleaner diluted in water, applied with a soft cloth, then dried immediately with a dry cloth.
What to avoid
- Do not use alcohol or isopropyl-based products — stains appear to disappear when wet but reappear on drying, risking further damage.
- No abrasive products or scouring materials.

Routine care
- Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove surface particles.
- For everyday cleaning: use a soft cloth dampened with warm water and a pH-neutral soap. Dry immediately and thoroughly with a clean cloth.
- For light stains: blot immediately — do not rub. Use a damp cloth with neutral soap and dry at once.
- For stubborn stains: apply a paste of baking soda and water, leave for a few hours, then gently remove with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
- Use coasters, placemats, and trivets under glasses, cups, and hot objects at all times.
- Seal natural stone periodically with a stone-specific impregnating sealer to protect against staining and moisture absorption.
What to avoid
- Never use acidic cleaners — vinegar, lemon juice, wine, or citrus-based products will etch and permanently dull the surface.
- No bleach, ammonia, or alkaline cleaning agents.
- No abrasive sponges, scouring pads, or powders.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight — UV may alter the stone's natural colouring over time.
- Do not place extremely hot items directly on stone — thermal shock can cause cracking.
- Avoid harsh impacts — natural stone can chip or crack under sudden force.
